The Ground Pilates Teacher Training
Q: What makes this program different from a larger organizational program, like Balanced Body, BASI, Polestar, etc?
A: What's amazing about The Ground's Teacher Training is that all of the programs are still being taught by Jessica herself. If studios host the program and want their own instructor, they must go though a training process with Jessica first. This ensures that no information is getting diluted overtime and every student has access to the original teachings.
Q: How long does it typically take a student to complete the program?
A: With lectures, observation, class attendance, self practice, practice teaching and homework, students normally complete the full comprehensive program in one year on average. This program is about becoming one of the most confident instructors right out of the gate!
Q: What is the time committment?
A: Students must attend the lectues live (two full weekends for mat and. 13 weekly 5 hour lectures for apparatus). All other others may be completed at the students pace and aligned with thir schedule.
Q: Where are graduates teaching now?
A: There are graduates of Jessica Taylor's spanning back a decade now, teaching in boutique studios, rec centers, big gym chains, high-end health clubs, home studios, PT clinics and are even working as instructor recruiters for large fitness corporations.
Q; Do I have to already be an advanced Pilates student to attend this program?
A: Absolutely not! We have had students span between the 20s and 60s in age, some very seasoned and some not. We also encourage students who are able-bodied but may be a "special population" with a unique physical ailment, as this method is for ALL!
Q: Are there deadlines to complete hours?
A: Other then the required lecture dates, all others hours may be completed on your own time. While you are encouraged to stay consistent a set goals for completion, you get to create your own timeline for completion of your program.
Q: How many exams do students have to complete?
A: Students are required to complete two written exams (one for mat and one for apparatus) as well as three practical exams (one for mat, one after half of the apparatus practice eaching hours are completed, and one when the entire program is completed).
Q; What is the policy on missed lectures?
A: We understand life happens! If a student has to miss a lecture, we do our best to record it for the student or to make the lecture up at another time.
Q: What do you recieve at the end of your program?
A: Students receive a certificate that is able to be used worldwide. Graduates are also eligible to sit for the NPCP exam if they choose.
